Kenyans on Twitter (KoT) are disputing comments made by one of Fox News' anchors on American television.
The co-host of the late-night program Gutfeld! Emily Compagno has come under fire for her claim that pregnant women in Kenya never leave the house.
On the show, Emily claimed that when it comes to voting rights, places like Kenya are the worst because expectant mothers are hardly ever permitted to leave their homes.
“These comments are totally delusional. So she’s talking about, what, voting rights? That we have less voting flights here?” a passionate Compagno posed.
She continued by drawing a comparison between the US and Oman, where married women must cast their votes in accordance with their husbands' wishes to avoid being killed.
“What about in Kenya where pregnant women can’t leave the house so they absolutely have no constructive right to vote or in Oman, where women have to vote as their husbands due or risk death?”
