Celestine told that he started feeling sick a week before the show but remained hopeful he would heal.
“Your voice was disappearing, your flu was crazy and started like a week before.”
Njgush said, “The whole of that time I was walking around with medicine in a cup. I was bloated let me tell you I was so medicated my head was heavy I just wanted to get over and done with yaani I just wanted us to quickly start and finish the show.”
The comedian was even whispering during rehearsal, “It got to a point even Abel told me I have to mime coz my voice was gone.”
Celestine looked at him and said, ” Timo can you imagine losing your voice and the show s all about you?”
He noted the same “Imagine so what do you do? I was so anxious if you saw me pacing backstage a lot of people didn’t know my voice was going so what if it went during the show at the time the MC was announcing my entry?”
The couple recalled friends Abel Mutua and Butita also cracking jokes on the day.
