Njugush nearly cancelled TTNT 3 because he was losing his voice

Njugush opened up about his severe anxiety about his voice before TTNT 3

• Njugush admitted that he had a flu that put him down for the whole week before his third TTNT show.

• Njugush even thought that he might lose his voice while on stage.

When comedian Njugush run into the theatre for his 3rd comic show TTNT 3, no one suspected that behind the scenes, the show almost didn’t go on.

Njugush revealed this on his YouTube page and opened up about his anxiety before the show. Celestine his wife also expressed her reservation saying that she knew it was bad the day before. 

Laughing Cele added, “That day there was traffic like ile traffic crazy the kind where you put the car on the side switch off the engine.“

Njugush recalled, “There were some people who found the show over, they found us taking a bow of thanks.” Even their son Tugi almost missed the show having been stuck in traffic for 2 hours.

His wife added, “The one meant to pick him told us he wa stuck at globe, so we asked him he didn’t tell us earlier, so we got another driver to pick him up , so they kwamad tao, it was raining it was bad.”

Njugush agreed; “It was chaos. we were backstage t that time I was so tense let me tell you, if you remember TTNT: 1 and 2 had issues. hii 3 ile homa nilkuwa nayo.“

Celestine told that he started feeling sick a week before the show but remained hopeful he would heal.

“Your voice was disappearing, your flu was crazy and started like a week before.”

Njgush said, “The whole of that time I was walking around with medicine in a cup. I was bloated let me tell you I was so medicated my head was heavy I just wanted to get over and done with yaani I just wanted us to quickly start and finish the show.”

The comedian was even whispering during rehearsal, “It got to a point even Abel told me I have to mime coz my voice was gone.”

Celestine looked at him and said, ” Timo can you imagine losing your voice and the show s all about you?”

He noted the same “Imagine so what do you do? I was so anxious if you saw me pacing backstage a lot of people didn’t know my voice was going so what if it went during the show at the time the MC was announcing my entry?”

The couple recalled friends Abel Mutua and Butita also cracking jokes on the day.

“So all this time I was stressed wondering if my voice will go halfway through the show. I knew if I took long on stage for like three hours, the last hour I wouldn’t have a voice ilikuwa teke teke , I was wondering tuingie au tusiingie kwa show,“ he said.

Thankfully for the team, the show went on well.
