Frank Obegi set be laid to rest on Tuesday June 28th at his rural home

 • The late Frankline Obegi will be laid to rest on Tuesday 28th June 2022 at his rural home in Bogwendo village.

 • Obegi who was was born on 06/09/1996 , was the second born child to to Evans Mose (Bowendo) and Beatrice Nyanchama. He was a brother to Leytone Teya and Gilger Nyang'ate.

The late Frankline Obegi will be laid to rest on Tuesday 28th June 2022 at his rural home in Bogwendo village.

Obegi's body will arrive at Kinara Hospital mortuary (Bwomboga) at 9:00AM before leaving to his home town in Nyawira town for final respect at 9:30am.

At 10am, Obegi's body will leave to his rural home in Bogwendo village where prayers will be conducted at 11am before the main sermon kick starts at 12:30pm.

Obegi who was was born on 06/09/1996 , was the second born child to to Evans Mose (Bowendo) and Beatrice Nyanchama. He was a brother to Leytone Teya and Gilger Nyang'ate. 

He started his education at Lutheran Academy in the year 2001 and Later joined Dorcas Sigara memorial academy where he sat his KCPE exam in the year 2009.

Later he joined Cardinal Otunga High school in 2010 to 2014 where he did her KCSE exam. He enrolled at Multimedia University for a degree in ICT where he was yet to graduate.

According to his family, the late Obegi enjoyed good health throughout his life until 20th June 2022 when he was found dead at Kijabe forest. The body was confirmed at Nairobi city mortuary and later transferred to Kinara hospital (Bwomboga Hospital).

A day after Obegi was found killed and body found in Kijabe forest, his father  Evans Bowendo spoke to the media explaining that he had only learnt about the death of his son through one of his friends. He added that his late son had gone missing when in the company of his son.

That wasn’t all, Mr. Bowendo also revealed that he didn’t know the real source of his son’s income and had always assumed he sold ‘air tickets’ and did academic writing.

“I thought my son sold air tickets online. That is what he had told me when he left home in February. But now that he has been found dead, I am also shocked about what is it that made my son die the way he did.

He had money. When he got the money you could see on his WhatsApp status he was in Mombasa, sometimes he was in an aeroplane. I asked him and he told me the money he has is usually commission from the business he was doing.”
