Google has released Kenya's Year in Search lists on Wednesday, December 8.

The annual look into the year's top trending Google searches revealed queries that had a high spike in traffic over a sustained period in 2021.

The lists range from overall global stories to local top 10 lists of trending topics across sports, music, lifestyle, personalities, news, and more, on “how-to” and “What is?” queries’.

It has emerged that Kenyans have been searching for the lyrics of these trending songs;

2. ‘Alcohol’ Lyrics - by Joe Boy

3. ‘Naanzaje’ Lyrics - by Diamond Platnumz

4. ‘Ndovu Ni Kuu’ Lyrics - by

5. ‘Baikoko’ Lyrics - by Krispah, Boutross and Khaligraph Jones 

6. ‘Hapo Tu’ Lyrics - by Nyashinski and Chris Kaiga

7. ‘Amazing Grace’ Lyrics 

8. ‘Jireh’ Lyrics - by Elevation Worship and Maverick City

9. ‘Love Nwantiti’ Lyrics - by Ckay 

10. ‘Zuchu Sukari’ Lyrics

Ms. Sharon Machira, Google’s Communications and Public Affairs Manager in Kenya, said, "Google’s 2021 Year in Search Lists compiles the moments, people, topics, events, and places that captured Kenyans’ attention during the year. Search is a useful tool to help people find answers to the biggest questions facing society.”
