Comedian Chipukeezy's friends to build a school library in Kenya

• His fellow comedians from Nigeria will be in the country next year to oversee the groundbreaking event.

Kenyan stand-up comedian Chipukeezy has gotten a big boost as his friends are set to build a library in Kenya. 

Chipukeezy, who is on a tour in the USA announced that his fellow comedians from Nigeria will be in the country next year to oversee the groundbreaking event. 

The library will be constructed at St. Martins De Porres primary school, in Tala, Machakos county. 

"When I started doing stand-up comedy, I promised myself to build a school in my home village and I built it. I decided to use comedy to grow the school and I am now I'm Growing it. Next year my brother's Mrpatricktv and  Mcpccomedian will be flying to Kenya to build St.MartinsdePorres A School Library! I can't wait to welcome you to my country to show you my village and meet the kids," Chipukeezy announced. 

According to Chipukeezy, owning a private school was his childhood dream.

Speaking in a past interview with Mpasho, the comedian said his aim is to provide quality and affordable education for children in his village. 

"I realised that I am who I am and I struggled with the school fees, so I know what education can do for a person, my aim is to establish the institution and encourage people to educate their children, and try and change the perception of our people about education."
