When he was married to businesswoman Anerlisa Muigai, Tanzanian singer Ben Pol received a lot of  backlash from some social media users.

They claimed that he married a woman that was way above his paycheck.

Responding to these reactions, the 'Phone' hitmaker said that he has never been bothered by his ex-wife's wealth or age.

"What people say has never bothered me, about the wealth and age, these are things that have no chance in my mind. My attention was on my partner"

"I have heard so many stories about me and that's kinda funny and the stories are always false," Ben Pol stated

Anerlisa is from a wealthy family.

She is the eldest daughter of Keroche Breweries founder and owner, Tabitha Muigai Karanja.

Other than being a rich kid, Anerlisa also has her own company called Nero.
