This was after the deceased defeated the woman's son in class.

The woman who has been identified as Sahayarani Victoria pretended to be the late boy's parents and followed him during a school event.
He then handed him a poisoned drink.
The boy was on Friday preparing to perform during a traditional school event that takes place every year.
He took the drink and started feeling sick, he was hospitalized but sadly he passed away on Saturday.
The boy's parents reported the case to the police after the suspect was caught on CCTV begging the watchman to take the bottle to the boy.
Doctors said the boy died due to a lack of enough air after food particles went into his airway.
