Police in Buruburu is investigating the brutal death of a man whose body was discovered rotting in his home.

Andrew Omolo, 30, was discovered on the 7th floor of his apartment complex. His lifeless body was found hanging in the bathroom with wires around his neck and hands dangling.

Neighbours had on numerous occasions complained of a foul smell emanating from the apartment.

The door was locked from inside with a padlock.

Andrew penned two suicide notes one for the parents and the other for the lover.

His last words to the parents read:

"Mum and dad thank you for the gift of life, I tried to live but my mistakes were too much to bear. This life belongs to everyone. Thank everyone who will attend my burial."

While his instructions to a woman only identified as Lavender, read, "I am sorry I was not what you thought I was. The struggle was too much to bear. I love you. Burn me, please."

Friends and family described him as a happy soul who was always social.

One of his pal's Humphrey Onyango told KTN News, "I last saw him last week at 7 am or 8 pm, he was escorting a light-skinned girl."

He continued, "I don't even know the reason what Andrew committed suicide. I know the parents used to visit when they came around, they may not have gone up but they always passed by to check on him".

The family believes that their son did not commit suicide and that something else is at play.
