Woman shot after being mistaken to be Caroline Kangogo speaks

A woman who was shot after allegedly being suspected to be killer cop Caroline Kangogo has broken her silence. 

Phanice Chemutai, who was shot in the abdomen by businessman Ken Muyundo has denied claims that she was looking for him. 

According to Phanice, she was minding her business at Kiminini when Ken Muyundo reached out to her and exchanged contacts. 

"He kept calling me after that, we have never had a relationship with him. He asked to meet me," Chemutai said.

When the two met on Thursday, Ken showed Chemutai a picture of Caroline Kangogo asking if she is the one. A confrontation ensued between the two and the victim was shot. 

"I was seating on the passenger's seat, suddenly I heard a gunshot. He told me, 'you are the one I have been looking for, I want to kill you. He ordered me to sit down. I shouted and police officers who were on patrol came to my aid," Chemutai narrated.

Ken Muyundo was arrested and is in the custody of police officers at Trans Nzoia County and will be charged for misuse of a firearm and attempted murder.
