After being named the government spokesperson by President William Ruto, former nominee for senator Isaac Mwaura made a statement.
Mwaura expressed gratitude to God for the chance to serve the nation in that capacity in a statement.
He also expressed his gratitude to the President and Rigathi Gachagua, who serves as his deputy.
"Glory be to God! He is indeed so very faithful to those who wait upon Him. What God has kept for you he will surely make it come to pass no matter how long! Many thanks to President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for appointing me as the government spokesman! So help me God," he said.
Cyrus Oguna, the former spokesperson for the government, will now be replaced by the former senator.
A few weeks after President Ruto's appointments for Chief Administrative Secretary were put on hold by the court, he was appointed.
Mwaura had been chosen as CAS in the Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary, office.
Mwanaisha Chidzuga and Gabriel Muthuma will serve as Mwaura's replacements in his new position.
Muthuma expressed gratitude to the president and said it was a privilege to work for him.
"I would like to thank His Excellency William Ruto for appointing me to the position of deputy government spokesman. With humility and a grasp of zeal, I am honoured to serve. “He works in ways we cannot see……” Isaiah 43," he said on X.
