Bomet Woman Representative Linet Chepkorir Toto hosted her fiance' Godfrey Kimutai and other clan elders for her dowry negotiations on Saturday.

Kimutai is reportedly an assistant to a second-term Member of the Bomet County Assembly.

The negotiations were conducted according to their 'Koito' culture of marriage.

Kimutai came in the company of elders in a long convoy that stirred the little village for the ceremony that was done in line with the Kalenjin way of life.

Elders from both sides deliberated on the dowry and after lengthy negotiations, an agreement was reached, paving the way for the union.

Photos showing the two families in high spirits signified a deal reached in which Kimutai would the bride price and start a new phase of life with the youthful lawmaker.

Linet Toto got engaged on Valentine's day.

Photos that surfaced on social media showed the lawmaker being proposed to by her little-known lover with rose petals and lit candles spread on the floor.

The bearded man is seen kneeling on one knee with another photo showing Toto holding a bouquet of flowers.

Taking to social media, Toto described her bae as her one in a million.

"And I finally said YES.... Happy Valentine's Day sweetheart I love you... Congrats you are one in a million may God be with us on this journey. I love you, sweetheart ," she wrote.

Linet went on to promise to be an extraordinary one who can always make her bae laugh and see the world with.

"It's a new life chapter GOLDEN GILDED CAGE where we tied the knot. The vehement passion in oblivion, Reminiscences of the glorious moments shall never fade. You've permeated my soul like a labyrinthian.
