Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has expressed his dismay after Lang'ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwour better known as Jalas or Jalang'o was kicked out of the Unity One Declaration at the Kenya Union Retreat in Machakos County on Thursday.

Jalang'o was prevented from arriving at the venue of the meeting, due to his recent visit to the State House together with some other ODM MPs and Senator Tom Ojienda.

Speaking after being sacked despite the arrival of Raila Odinga, Jalang'o said that he felt bad that he would not attend the meeting, but added that he does not regret meeting President William Ruto, and he will not apologize for it as the meeting was development-oriented.

In his speech during the meeting, Kalonzo said that Jalang'o should have been given a chance to apologize or give his side of the story, but the leaders present did not want to hear anything.

"Poor Jalang'o, I thought I would see him here today, but I will still look for him. As Azimio's leaders, we should also tolerate each other, they come to say sorry, you should not throw them out. I see that is a step to leave but I will not withdraw my words but think about the state of mind Jalang'o it's there."

Kalonzo however claimed that Jalang'o and his colleagues made a mistake by going to the State House without getting advice from their party leader Raila Odinga.

Meanwhile Raila himself has urged any leader who went to meet the president to resign branding them as traitors.

"The Members of Parliament who defected need to resign and go, and seek a fresh mandate from the electorate," the former Prime Minister ordered.

Despite all this, Senator Eddy Oketch has written a letter asking the ODM party to fire the leaders who met with the president, saying that they violated the party's constitution by engaging in the ideology and policies of another political party.
