Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwour has stated that his loyalty to ODM leader Raila Odinga is unshaken even after Tuesday's visit to the State House.

In an interview with Spice FM, the first-term MP said he has been part of the Azimio rallies and will continue mobilising crowds for the upcoming rallies beginning including one in Machakos county this weekend.

"I will be there because now that is politics. We have to learn how to differentiate politics and development," he said.

The MP clarified that he only went to State House following the invite of President William Ruto after it was made clear in advance that the agenda would be purely on development.

"What if for political reasons the president who holds the key to these development says okay guys don't go there (Azimio rallies)?" he was asked.

In response, Jalang'o said:

"I'm also waiting for one statement from Baba again that will also give me direction that whether it's development or not, don't go there,".

Jalang'o said he would still have gone to State House even if his party leader Raila Odinga had said no to it.

"I would still ask what's the agenda, and if it still stands as development, I would still go because the people of Lang'ata do not care who is president or who is not, what they care for is the delivery," he said.

While speaking at a separate interview within the precincts of Parliament, Jalang'o reiterated that his allegiance to Raila and the ODM party was still intact.

"There is no single campaign that I have not mobilised and been part of, so don't question my loyalty to Raila Amollo Odinga," he said.
