ODM leader Raila Odinga has paid tribute to the late former Education CS George Magoha.
Raila added that he was saddened by the passing of a leader who was dedicated to serving people.
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Prof. George Magoha, a transformational leader, illustrious scholar, dedicated public servant, and distinguished medical doctor who left an indelible mark on our country's education system," Raila said in a statement.
Raila described the former CS as an intellectual man who has inspired many in the society.
"We will remember him for his incredible intellect, wit, and ability to inspire and challenge us to do our best. My condolences go out to his family and colleagues. May he Rest In Eternal Peace."
The former Education CS passed on at a Nairobi hospital on Tuesday evening.
He is survived by a wife, Dr Barbara O. Magoha and a son, Michael Magoha.
He was appointed Education CS in March 2019 where he took over from former CS Amina Mohammed.
