Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has been given more time by UDA Disciplinary Committee to respond to ‘shameful’ conduct on December 16.

Last December, the lawmaker was involved in an ugly drama in Dubai at a party spot where her baby daddy Samidoh was performing.

According to videos that surfaced online, a highly intoxicated Nyamu was seen causing drama at an event venue where Samidoh's wife was also present.

Security at the event was forced to throw her out of the venue following her uncontrollable behavior.

She was summoned a week later to appear before the UDA Disciplinary Committee, where the hearing was pushed to January 20th, 2023.

In a statement on Friday, 20 January, the President William Ruto-led party resolved to grant Karen more time to respond to the allegations.

"The senator has been allowed more time to respond to the allegations levelled against her by a party member.

The committee adjourns the matter to 9.00 am on 24th February," read part of the statement.

Should the disciplinary process result in her expulsion from UDA, she'll allegedly lose her senatorial post.

The senator later blamed her actions on alcohol, a habit she vowed to quit come January 2023.
