Narc Kenya Leader Martha Karua has moved to the East African Court of Justice seeking to overturn President William Ruto's election.

The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya running mate in the August 9 general election has filed the petition alongside Muslims for Human Rights.

The petition was filed at the Court's registry in Arusha, Tanzania on November 3.

She is challenging the Kenyan Supreme Court decision that upheld the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati's declaration of Ruto as the winner of the August 9 presidential election.

In September, the then Azimio La Umoja Deputy Presidential Candidate said that she cannot believe they were defeated and is considering taking the matter to the East African Court.

“Now is not about the election, it's about justice, the court said our evidence was a hot air balloon, this, can take me to East Africa just to discuss that judgment,” she said.

“But since the court gave its verdict, let Kenya continue and move forward, that is the rule of law and democracy."

She is also on the record as saying she does not recognize Ruto as Kenya's President.

Ruto was on August 15th,2022 declared as the winner of the August, general election.

Not satisfied with the results, Azimio leader Raila Odinga went to court.
