Johnson Sakaja, the Nairobi Governor has finally unveiled his 10-member cabinet. The members will be presented to the county assembly of Nairobi for vetting and approval.

The list was submitted to the Speaker of the County Assembly in a letter dated October 26, 2022.

"The team has been carefully selected and are competent," Sakaja said.

Sakaja has sent home all members of the executive serving his predecessor Anne Kananu's administration, except two.

Nairobi County has 10 executive members. They include one in charge of Finance and Economic Planning, Health, ICT and E-government, Devolution, Environment and Water, Agriculture, Trade, Roads and Transport, Education and Lands and Housing departments.

Sakaja has at the same time made changes to the dockets.

While unveiling the cabinet, the City boss has named: Charles Kerich (Finance and Economic Planning), Brian Mulama ( Talents, skills, development and care) and Patrick Mbogo - mobility and works.

Former Chief Officer lands Stephen Mwangi ( Buildings and urban planning), Ibrahim Auma (Administration and personnel), Rosemary Kariuki (Hustlers and business opportunities, Maureen Njeri ( Green Nairobi ), Anastacia Mutethia ( Health, wellness and nutrition) and Susan Silantoi who will be in charge of inclusivity, public participation and customer service.

Sakaja also named David Njoroge as his Chief Of Staff, Lawrence Wambua as his Economic Affairs Advisor, Elias Mutuma (Legal Advisor),  Dr. Samora Otieno (Health Advisor), William Ndung’u ‘Fazul’(Political Advisor) and Prof. Washington Yotto Ochieng as his Mobility Advisor.

The CEC nominees will be vetted by the select committee of appointment.
