William Ruto is at the moment chairing his first cabinet meeting. The fifth president of Kenya has out and about since his inauguration and has only been able to hold the meeting this week.

The meeting was attended by all cabinet secretaries including the likes of Interior Secretary Fred Matiangi who has had significant differences with the head of state.

The meeting also comes at a time when Kenyans are anxiously waiting for the President to name his cabinet.

The current cabinet was appointed by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
