George Wajackoyah is among four candidates that have been cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to contest the presidency.
Being the flag bearer of the Roots Party, the 62-year-old unveiled a 10-point manifesto to Kenyans.
While campaigning, he has called on Kenyans to look into his manifesto when he launches it on Thursday.
Below are some of his ideas that captured nationwide attention;
Introduction of 8 Prime Minister
If elected to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, Wajackoyah has pledged to introduce prime ministers to be in charge of the defunct eight provinces.
To fulfil this, he would clear all the county commissioners from their jobs and replace them with the prime ministers.
Death penalty to the corrupt
If elected, Wajackoyah will reinstate the death penalty.
He believes that reintroducing capital punishment for corruption offenders is the silver bullet for eradicating the country's corruption problem.
Suspension of the constitution.
During the first six months in office, Wajackoyah said he will suspend the Constitution to allow Kenyans to decide on the kind of Constitution that they want.
Legalising of marijuana (bhang)
The presidential hopeful says he will push for the legalisation of bhang if he succeeds President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He stated that the marijuana sale will help clear the country's huge international loans thereafter cutting ties with China, Kenya's biggest creditor.
Reduce official working days to four
The proposal to reduce official working days in Kenya to four, (Monday to Thursday) will allow Muslims to pray on Friday and Christians to worship on Saturday and Sunday.
One year maternity leave for expectant Women
Wajackoyah has pledged to amend the Act and committed that in his administration, expectant mothers will be entitled to be away from work for nine months during the duration of the pregnancy and later extend for another three months after delivery.
According to the Kenya Employment Act, female employees are entitled to three months’ paid maternity leave, while male employees are entitled to two weeks' of paid paternity leave.
Upscale snake farming
According to Wajackoyah, snake farming has the potential to generate sufficient revenues to help offset the national debt which stands at Sh8.4 trillion.
He noted that toxins extracted from farmed poisonous snakes are worth a fortune in the anti-venom market and can drive Kenya's economy.
Relocating capital from Nairobi to Isiolo
The presidential candidate if elected has plans to relocate the capital city from Nairobi to North Eastern.
He said the idea of moving the capital to Isiolo will open up the northern frontiers as the administrative capital, freeing Nairobi to be an industrial hub.
