Musician, Juliani has denied claims that he has been appointed as the director of entertainment by the Azimio - OKA coalition.

This comes just a day after reports circulated online that the 'Utawala' hit maker had bagged the prestigious job.

Juliani however, has penned an open letter to his fans denying such claims and distanced himself from being 'affiliated to any political party in Kenya or beyond.'

It has been brought to my attention that there is information circulating online about my appointment as Director of Entertainment in the Azimio - OKA Coalition.

I would like to clarify that this has not been communicated to me formally or otherwise. Therefore I would like to confirm that I am not employed or affiliated with any political party in Kenya or beyond,” the rapper's statement read in part.

Juliani who is known for championing social justice, however, didn't shut the door on anyone or any political organization that would love to work with him but gave a list of his irreducible minimums.

The above doesn't give me the luxury of distancing myself from issues of governance, particularly in an election year. I am willing to join hands with like-minded partners including political parties that have a clear manifesto and agenda focusing primarily on sustainable youth empowerment initiatives,” he noted.

He says whoever wants to join hands with him should be able to address, youth unemployment, gender equality and fight against Gender-Based Violence as well as end extrajudicial killings.

The rapper listed a number of roles that he has played in the society including projects he has been involved in that have made a difference in the country.

The projects include; Setting up Taka Bank solutions, advocating for youth empowerment through mentorships, Dandora HipHop City (DHC) and my msanii. He is also known for championing for the sustainable inclusive business knowledge center under KEPSA.

He called on Kenyans to exercise wisdom when choosing their leaders come August, 2022.

I would like to urge my fellow Kenyans to use wisdom and vote for leaders who will bring change and avoid falling into the trap of being blinded by handouts. I would also like to discourage politicians from using our youth for their own selfish gains.

To my fans and to all Kenyans I say thank you for the love you have shown me. I appreciate it and may God bless you,” Juliani signed out.
