Lawyer cum politician Silas Jakakimba and his baby mama Beryl Akun have been exchanging words and accusations on social media platforms.
The drama started over the weekend after Silas accused his baby mama of masterminding the kidnapping of their son.
On April 9, Jakakimba took to facebook to accuse his baby mama of "hypocrisy, manipulation, blackmail and fraudulent hubris" amid their co-parenting.
"While out of town earlier today, a group of several women kidnapped my son from his playing ground at my Nairobi residence. This matter, currently with the police, remains sensitive bacause a minor has been dragged into it. I’ve just landed back from a family commitment I’d to cut shot - in Kisumu, to ensure I personally pick him back and restore him to his continued legal and lawful custody within my space," Jakakimba shared.
The lady named Beryl also took to social media, accusing Jakakimba of failing to take care of the child while he is in his custody.
She accused him of frustrating the child and exposing him to funny characters. She added that the child falls ill while with the father and he does not visit him after admission.
Later, Beryl posted a picture of herself and the baby at a police station, claiming she had been arrested.
In a response, Jakakimba said that her arrest had nothing to do with the co-parenting feud.
"I understand that the police officers from Muthangari Police Station had earlier visited her house to effect a Warrant of Arrest dated 4th March, 2022. Having caught winds of the same, she decided to go and cause drama at my place knowing so well that the police officers would actually go for her WHEREVER she was - to then use my son as a shield and twist the narrative, but the truth and facts around her arrest will soon come out, and my advocate is handling that space to avail a Brief Statement unearthing the twisted falsehoods that may have been at play yesterday, my son fronted as the weapon.
For the avoidance of doubt, she was not arrested because she came to forcefully take my son away. Otherwise the whole lot of women who were with her would all be behind bars; and what would she still be doing at the station up to now? It was purely a coincidence that having forcefully taken the boy from the play-ground in my compound, he was in her hands at the time the officers arrived to arrest her, right within my compound. Her arrest was a totally different issue on an active warrant that both the Kenya Police and The Judiciary can speak to and confirm," he wrote.
Beryl has been accusing Jakakimba of using his influence and closeness to some big politicians to deny her justice.
