• The new Governor took the oath of office in the presence of her teenage son.

Anne Kananu Mwenda was sworn in as the third Governor of Nairobi County on Tuesday, November 16. 

The ceremony held at KICC was graced by politicians, officials from the County Government and State House. 

Additionally, the new Governor took the oath of office in the presence of her teenage son. 

Dressed in a blue Tuxedo suit,  polka-dotted bow tie and pink shirt, the boy made an entrance into KICC in his mum's convoy.

On her part, Anne Kananu was dressed in a blue skirt suit, red top, with a red ribbon on her coat.

Anne Kananu's political allies such as CAS Rachel Shebesh, Nyeri Deputy Governor Carol Karugu, Kieni MP Kanini Kega were also among the invited guests.
