In response to concerns raised by young people, Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has rejected the idea of establishing a National Multi-Sectoral Forum (NMSF), calling it a time-wasting initiative.

President William Ruto has taken action to allay the worries of young people who are unhappy with the way things are going in the nation.

Felix Koskei, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, launched a nationwide conversation on Saturday to examine youth problems.

Ruto said in his speech on Wednesday that a National Multi-Sectoral Forum (NMSF) would be established to work with all relevant parties to solve issues brought up by young people.

The congressman stated that young people have brought up issues that they feel ought to be addressed and have pushed the administration to put them into action.

Osotsi asserted, "The Gen Zs are leaderless and cannot be forced to identify a leader who will communicate with Ruto's administration."

This is all the while President Ruto has said that he is open to interacting with youth on X Space.

Osotsi asserts that the President is not interested in meeting any of the Gen-Z leaders.  This is in response to demands made by Kenyans, especially members of Generation Z, on a number of social media platforms that any talks with the government take place on X space.

The President stated he is prepared to talk about any concerns they may have during a roundtable interview with the media on Sunday.

But according to Osotsi, among other things, young people want concerns like unemployment, punitive taxes, housing levies, funding for certain offices, and corruption to be addressed.
