The Disciplinary Committee of UDA has summoned nominated Senator Karen Nyamu following Dubai drama with musician Samidoh.

In a letter dated December 19,2022, chairperson of the committee Charles Njenga says the incidence which was captured in a video has brought shame to the party which nominated her to Senate.

"Your conduct and mannerism as exhibited in that incident has brought shame, disrepute and lowered the dignity of the party which nominated you to the office of Senator," he said.

"Article 73 of the Constitution of Kenya as read together with the Code of Conduct of the party and your oath of office delineate with clarity the expected conduct of a member of the party who has been afforded the opportunity to serve in public office to represent the party at the Senate and the general public."

The party said it has received complains against Nyamu.

The drama started when Nyamu went straight to where Samidoh was seated and forcefully sat on his lap.

Samidoh's wife Edday Nderitu stood and grabbed her husband's hand even as the security guards tried to separate the two women.

A video that circulated online showed Nyamu and Samidoh in a confrontation. And minutes later, Nyamu is said to have lost her cool and almost slapped her baby daddy but his bouncers intervened.

Nyamu is expected to appear before the committee on December 23.

"In accordance with Article 29 (xiii) you may represent yourself in person or appear with an advocate of the High Court of Kenya," the letter read.
