Prominent lawyer Paul Gicheru's death on Monday this week has shocked Kenyans with many having their own theories on what caused his demise.

In trying to decipher that, his last moments police and media have tried to retrace his last moments.

An employee of the late lawyer spoke to Nation and detailed the Eldoret-born advocate's last day on this earth.

They told the publication that the the late had been in his 5 bedroom Karen home for most of the day sipping white wine. 

What was noteworthy to the staff was that he spent most of the day in his room despite having his wife, son and father-in-law as guests.

The father-in-law would later leave at around 3.30 pm, leaving his wife and his son in the house.

Things would take a dramatic turn at 7 p.m in the evening when Gicheru's wife went to check on him only to find him foaming at the mouth.

The sources version of events adds to the mystery of who found the body first; The son or the wife?

Two police reports are contradictory as one indicated that the son found his father's body and informed his mother while the other states that the wife was the one who found Gicheru's body.

A post-mortem of the late is yet to be done as some of the family members are yet to travel from Eldoret.

In other related news, lawyer Miguna Miguna dismissed Azimio leader Raila Odinga's calls for Interpol to investigate the death of lawyer Paul Gicheru.

"The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) is an organization of police associations around the world. It has neither the capacity nor the jurisdiction to investigate anything in Kenya," Miguna said in a tweet on Thursday.
