After the passing of Kenya's third president Mwai Kibaki, netizens have also been checking out other popular personalities who passed on a while back.

Kibaki passed away today. He was 90 years old.

The list of the trending personalities includes other heads of state, politicians, a pastor and a rapper.

Check out the list below.

1) Magufuli

John Pombe Joseph Magufuli was the fifth president of Tanzania, serving from 2015 until his death in March 2021.

He died from heart complications at a hospital in Dar es Salaam, Samia Suluhu Hassan said in an address on state television.

2) Chris Kirubi

Billionaire investor Chris Kirubi died at his home on June 14, 2021 afternoon at the age of 80.

Kirubi had been fighting cancer since 2016.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr Christopher J. Kirubi, who passed away today at 1pm at his home after a long battle with cancer fought with fortitude, grace and courage,” announced Capital FM, which he owned, quoting his family.

3) DMX

DMX died on April 2021 after suffering a heart attack. He was 50.

"We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days," family's statement read in part.

"Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end," the family continued. "He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him."

4) TB Joshua

The popular but controversial Nigerian evangelical preacher Temitope Balogun Joshua died on June 5, 2022 from an undisclosed cause, his church said on Facebook. He was 57.

The preacher, popularly known as TB Joshua, founded The Synagogue Church of All Nations, a Christian megachurch in Lagos.

5) Jakoyo Midiwo

The veteran politician who was also the blood cousin of former prime minister Raila Odinga died on June 14, 2022

The 54-year-old ex-MP died at Nairobi Hospital after suffering cardiac arrest.

7) Simeon Nyachae

The Kenyan politician, government minister, and businessman from Kisii County died aged 88.

Prior to falling ill in 2018, Nyachae tripped and fell at his home in the Loresho neighbourhood. He was initially admitted to The Nairobi Hospital for one week but was then airlifted to London when he did not recover as expected.

Nyachae died on February 1, 2021, five days short of his 89th birthday.

8) Kalembe Ndile

The Former Kibwezi lawmaker Richard Kalembe Ndile died in May 2021.

The 57-year-old MP died at the Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted for three weeks, he had been battling an undisclosed illness for a long time.
