Man charged for letting his 7-year-old child drive a Prado

  • Kinyanjui was sentenced to three months in jail or pay a fine of Ksh.20,000 for allowing his seven-year-old son to drive a vehicle.

Ayub Kinjanjui, the man who allowed his 7-year old son to drive a Toyota Prado was arrested on Monday by officers from Kirwara Police Station in Murang’a. 

He was arraigned in Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to allowing a minor, without a driving license to operate a motor vehicle. 

Kinyanjui was sentenced to three months in jail or pay a fine of Ksh.20,000 for allowing his seven-year-old son to drive a vehicle.

In a viral video, Kinyanjui's son Ryan drove a Toyota Prado on a main road, and parked it in a nearby shopping centre. 

In the background, a man is heard challenging the 7 Year-old boy to drive the vehicle and park it a few metres ahead at Delview Park area in Thika.

"Are you serious you are the one driving this car, i want to see you. Go and park it at Delview," he was told.
