Their collaboration on the Afro Pop hit 'Kele' is undeniable. And it is the most unexpected collaboration that ever happened.
Kwambox and Chito say that they feel that the collaboration between the two wasrandom
Chito asked, " I feel like your collabo is too random, how did you two meet?"
Sara: "Actually we did not just meet for the collabo, I have known Drille since 2019 and I have always wanted to do a collabo with him."
Jonny chips in and says that they were connected by a mutual friend. "I was introduced to her by a friend of mine in 2019."
The Kenyan musician continues to narrate how she fell in love with the Nigerian star's music from the first time that she heard him.
" I was bored that day, and I decided to listen to YouTube music and came across his songs. I found about 6 to 7 songs of his and after listening to them I was like damn! I love this," She stated.
The Kenyan star continues to express how fascinated she was by his lyrics when she heard the whole song.
" Because I am a songwriter, I was amazed by how he is able to contemplate life and tell stories through his lyrics," She continues.
Sara says that from that moment she heard him she started following him and she wished to do a collaboration with him.
She says that later her producer Tush Gitonga told her to write a song with a Nigerian man and a Kenyan girl on it.
And that is what sparked the idea of Drille being in the song. They recorded the demo and sent it to him and told him to add his verse in, so he did.
They say that's how 'Kele' came by, and they recorded it outside Kenya.
