The much-anticipated reality TV show, The Real Housewives Of Nairobi was on Tuesday evening officially launched.

The reality show was launched and screened as a private event at Windsor Golf club.

Speaking at the launch, Eugene Mbugua, The Real Housewives of Nairobi's producer said he is super elated to have worked with the team.

Mbugua’s D&R Studios (formerly Young Rich Television) is also part of The Real Housewives franchise licensed as a format by NBC Universal Formats, which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The first episode is set to premiere on Thursday, 23 February on the streaming platform, Showmax.

Heavily pregnant Vera Sidika said the show will give her a chance for people to see the other side of her.

"Filming this show while pregnant has made me know what superwoman I am," she said.

Susan Kaitanny said she was glad to share her life as a mother and a businesswoman.

Some of the topics she will address are her divorce, her wins in the beauty industry, and her family.

Motorsport enthusiast Lisa Christoffersen identified as the peacemaker of the group has broken up a couple of fights and arguments among the ladies.

"Some of them feel like they’re stuck in a gramophone."

"I am always the one standing in between the ladies when they’re arguing or when there’s drama going on, and trying to calm down one or two of the ladies."

Sonal Maherali, or as she calls herself “the queen of the African Savanna”, knows a thing or two about marking her territory while staying sophisticated, and sometimes dramatic when need be.

"I don’t do drama, I only do style and class but if need be, I break the glass," she declares, hinting at what fans can expect from her as The Real Housewives of Nairobi premieres on 23 February.

Actress Minne Kariuki is the queen of shade, the drama queen, but she's also serving fashion.
