Last week Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi came under fire after alleging that most gospel musicians had slowed down on their careers.
Some of these are female artists who are currently concentrating on their families among them Gloria Muliro of the famous hit 'Sitolia'.
Among those he mentioned were singer Daddy Owen, Mercy Masika, Gloria Muliro, and Eunice Njeri among others, asking why they no longer produce music like a few years ago.
Eric further stated that the likes of Guardian Angel had stopped producing good music after he got married.
"The gospel industry was the identity of Kenyan music, but we lost our touch with God and the church has let down Kenyans," he said.
He further said that most of the artistes who won great awards years ago had turned the industry into Sodom and Gomorrah.
"The gospel industry has failed us. Willy Paul, and DK Kwenye Beat Ringtone are just fornicating. They have more scandals than the secular industry," he alleged.
Eric also shaded Bahati claiming he was irrelevant in the industry and only clings to his wife's YouTube channel.
He mentioned gospel singer Mr. Seed who was also accused of being a deadbeat by one of his baby mamas.
"The most immoral people in Kenya are former gospel artistes. Return to God! You've turned Kenyan into Sodom and Gomorrah."
Eric also alleged that some gospel artists had joined the LGBTQ community. On seeing the video, some of the mentioned artistes have since responded to Eric.
