Ali Kiba explains why his wife does not attend his concerts (Video)

• Alikiba says his wife has been supporting his music career even though they do not show it publicly.

There have been widespread reports that Tanzanian singer Alikiba and his wife Amina Khalef have been having a strained marriage.

Paparazzi have also raised doubts on why Alikiba is rarely seen with Amina in public.

Mpasho's Kalondu Musyimi caught up with the 'Jealous' singer, who is in the country for the AfroVasha concert, and asked whether Amina will be in the concert.

Alikiba said that he made a personal choice to keep his marriage and family a private affair.

"I can not say much about it... but I would love to. But when I am at work, I do not like displaying my personal life," Alikiba said amid sarcastic laughter.

The Bongo star explained that his wife has been supporting his music career even though they do not show it publicly.

"She always supports me...internal support is much better. I have allowed her to be free to support anything she wants in me, whether inside or outside," he added.
