Exclusive: Artist who reported Mejja's song on Youtube speaks

The first time I called him, he did not pick, I texted him, telling him I have a problem with his just-released music.

Bouja Boy

Mejja's song 'Tabia za Wakenya was pulled down from Youtube on Friday after copyright claims by Thiery Majambere.

In the hit, Mejja sang 'Ogopa watu watatu, Mwizi, Polisi na Kigonyi wa Matatu.

But with the turn of events, there are more people that the Genge artist should add to his list of fear.

According to Thiery, who is well known for his stage name Bouja Boy, he reached out to Mejja before reporting the copyright claims on Youtube.

Speaking exclusively to Mpasho, Thiery, who is a Burundian National living in Nairobi said;

"Bouja Boy sought an audience with Mejja just 2 hours after the song had been uploaded on Youtube, but Mtoto wa Khadija took him for granted and ended up blocking him.

I have no bile with Mejja. The first time I called him, he did not pick, I texted him, telling him I have a problem with his just-released music.

After that, he picked my calls and I explained everything to him and shared links to my song. He said he was exhausted after traveling to Mombasa Kisumu and Nairobi, he will call, but he blocked me.

Later, I went to 10/10 show where I talked about the issue. I called him once more, he was very rude to me. He told me, 'Kuna mahali ya Kureport' and I proceeded to provide proof to Youtube. I started processing the music 2 hours after the music was uploaded. I have no benefits by reporting him, but alinionyesha madharau."

Mpasho team tried to reach out to Mejja for his side of the story, but all was in vain.

Here is Bouja Boy's music that was released months before Mejja's Kanairo.
