Vanessa Mdee among International celebs sending love to Kenyans amid protests

International celebrities are keenly following the events in Kenya surrounding the rejected Finance Bill 2024 protests.

They are sharing their opinion on unfolding events using the popular hashtag #RejectFinanceBill2024.

Vanessa Mdee shared her message on her popular Instagram page writing "The people have been heard now we hope and pray for peace in the way forward"

Christina Shusho -

The Tanzanian songstress has changed her Instagram profile picture to that of the Kenyan flag. 

She also share a picture of herself draped in the Kenyan flag as she performed in an undated concert.

Lupita Nyongo -

The Kenyan-US based actress condemned the use of live bullets to main and hurt protestors. She indicated she was rejecting the Finance Bill as she shared her love to Kenyans taking to the streets. I salute the Kenyan youth and I am grateful to them for coming together in an extraordinary way to stand up against the problematic Finance Bill 2024"

JoeBoy - Nigerian singer Joe Boy has sent messages of love to Kenyans on his social media. The singer told Kenyans that "Love and prayers to my Kenyan brothers and sisters as they fight for a better way of life and future"

Meanwhile, a Nairobi court Wednesday freed at least 56 protesters who were arrested during Tuesday’s protests in the CBD, saying there is no solid reason that warrants their continued detention.

Elsewhere KNH received a total of 165 injured protesters with two declared dead, and 1 more passing away while receiving treatment.

The IMF has also released a statement addressing the current protests against the finance bill, stating that they are closely monitoring the situation with the aim of providing assistance to Kenya.

Kenyans have raised through M Changa, about 20 million shillings to help cover the costs of hospital bills of those injured and maimed in the protests.
