Renowned media personality, author, and human rights activist Janet Mbugua has shared an open letter to President William Ruto advising him on what he should do to avoid throwing the country into total chaos.

The mother of 2 who has been very vocal in the protests calling for the Rejection of the proposed Finance Bill 2024 as well as accountability from the government took to her socials to share her two cents directed to Ruto.

"Dear Mr President, Years of corruption and deceit have united Kenyans in anger and disappointment. We demand change - in your cabinet, into the laws, and in your perception of the Kenyan people. Don't give people more reasons to protest against a leadership that has left them feeling unsafe and disillusioned.

People have sacrificed their lives for this country; you cannot shoot your way out of this crisis. Be a leader, not a bystander, watching your country go up in flames" her post read.

Captioning it the former news anchor eulogized the citizens who had sadly lost their lives during the peaceful protests that eventually turned dangerously chaotic after citizens overpowered anti-riots polices and breached Parliament.

"Rest in Peace to those who took to the streets only to die in such senseless acts of brutality. Condolences to their families and friends.May we continue to call for and fight for a better Kenya. #Evolution revolution #Listen to the people #God for us all," Janet wrote.

Speaking to citizens who would be on the streets demonstrating today, the activist urged them to exercise caution to avoid loss of lives as seen on Tuesday.

"Kenya stands at a pivotal moment... Given the recent violence anger is valid but caution is essential. Please be careful, stay informed, vigilant and united," her post read.
