Peter Salasya shares his prayer and condolence for KDF chopper crash victims

• Salaysa prayed for those travelling by air to be safe

 

Kenyans are mourning the death of CDF Francis Ogolla and nine others who died in a helicopter crash in Elgeyo Marakwet Thursday April 18.

Among those is Mumias East Mp Peter Salasya who has shared his heartfelt prayer to the departed.

"Baba unajua sass hii baba mambo ya ndege imetuletea shida najua today we are mourning, we are mourning the death of Ogolla, may God rest his soul in eternal peace. I know they cannot I know it's a very big period kwa this country, because it's the first time it's happening in the country " he stated his fear.

"Naogopesha coz yesterday when we were travelling to Nakuru with our plane they were leaving the other side going to Elgeyo Marakwet." he recalled what could have been his sighting of the military team before their ill-fated flight.

Videos of some of the soldiers who died along Ogolla are circulating online, showing the team in separate happier moments.

Salasya added

"Mine is is just to pray this morning that may God protect us, may God protect you going out and coming in. Wacha mungu kaweza kutulinda because we dont belong here, we belong in the heaven. We decline and we refuse premature deaths in Jesus name so that tumalize kazi ambayo mwenyezi mungu ametupatia hapa duniani." 

The faces of the military officer have also been shared online and here are their names as well: Sergeant Rose Nyawira, Brigadier Swale Saidi, Major George Benson Magondu, Captain Hillary Litali, Captain Sora Mohamed, Colonel Duncan Keitany, Senior Sergeant John Kinyua Mureithi, and Sergeant Cliphonce Omondi.

Slaaysa condoled with all affected familys and friends.

"Leo we are travelling again this morning wacha mungu atupiganie akatuongoze, an akaweza kutufunika kwa damu ya yesu Christo. May he guide us all. "
