DJ Joe Mfalme's wife celebrates birthday with poignant message

• Her birthday post comes less than a week after her hubby was named as a state witness in the death of late DCI cop Felix Kelian.

DJ Joe Mfalme's wife, Ephy, has celebrated her birthday amidst the turmoil surrounding her husband's recent run-in with the law.

Throughout her husband's ordeal, the deejay's wife remained silent, raising questions some eyebrows among over eager gossipers.

However, on April 13, she marked her birthday by sharing inspirational messages on social media where she wrote.

"Every day is a gift from God. There's no guarantee of tomorrow, so that tells me to see the good in this day to make the most of it," she posted.

In another message, she expressed gratitude for God's strength, acknowledging that it empowered her to overcome the darkness around her and reminding herself of her share in God's victory.

Mfalme, who had been arrested following an altercation with the late police inspector Felix Kelian ole Kintosi, was released on April 8 after spending 14 days in custody.

Later on, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) recommended that Mfalme be used as a state witness in Kelian's murder case.

After his release, Joe, adorned in a black branded hoody and grey sweatpants, interacted with fellow artists and fans outside the Kibera Law Courts.

Sporting long hair for the first time, a departure from his usual bald look, he greeted the crowd briefly, saying, "Siongei sana" (I cannot talk much).

When asked about his plans for the night, he replied, "Wacha hata nioge na nikanyolewe. Kila kitu imeenda poa lawyer ashawashow" (Let me take a shower and get a haircut. Everything went well as the lawyer told you). Nime learn (I have learnt a) lesson 14 days," he said.
