Nana Owiti, the wife of artist King Kaka, has answered a question from her fans about why she decided to dress her sons in Islamic attire, something unusual for her family.

Wednesday marked the celebration of the completion of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims.

The Eid ul Fitr celebrations were held across the country in various mosques, but Nana's sons, despite being Christians, were seen in kanzus and turbans like Muslims.

Nana had uploaded the video herself and had to explain to some of her fans who asked about the reason for the attire.

According to Owiti, her sons wore those clothes because of their friend named Moha, jokingly saying that they wanted pilau.

"My children requested to wear those today because their friend Moha was having a feast. It seems Moha didn't give us that pilau invitation, so we had to manage. They wanted pilau from Moha, my people," she replied to one who asked, "Why are they wearing kanzus 😂, they usually don't wear them?"

In the video, Owiti and her sons were seen enjoying leisurely walks and saying that it was a fond memory of her childhood by the banks of River Tana.

"I loved that little fishing spot because I grew up near R. Tana in Mwea. Fishing was a common thing there. Some even dropped out of school to become small-scale fishermen and fisherwomen🤯.

At home, Saturdays were festive days! My late uncle Nganda and uncle Ngei would fish and bring fish home, while my uncles Peter and Muya would go hunting with dogs and bring 'tuvaluku,' 'nthia,' and 'ikanga,'" she said.
