Jowie releases gospel song minutes after being found guilty of murder

Joseph Irungi aka Jowie has released a gospel song dubbed 'Nakuabudu' just minutes after he was found guilty of the murder of Monicah Kimani. 

The track shared on his Youtube channel is a worship produced by Safri records.

Part of the lyrics say "Nakubudu, Nakusujudu, ni wewe, Yesu milele....Mikononi mwako Baba narejea, miguuni mwako Yesu nalilia....Msalabani nimepona, sitaogopa, unami Bwana, gongo lako na fimbo yako inifariji Bwana...."He captioned the describiton of the music video with Psalm 150:6

"Let everything that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD."

Jowie turned into music in 2020, when he released his first gospel song 'Nishikilie.' He followed it up with other tracks like 'Eyaah' 'Juu' and 'Babie.'

Jowie wa son Friday found guilty of the murder of Monicah Kimani which happened in 2018. Jacque Maribe who was the second accused was acquitted.

Justice Grace Nzioka said on Friday that;

"All this evidence leaves a strong conclusion that Irungu murdered Monica Kimani," she said.

"The prosecution has proved beyond a reasonable doubt."

The sentencing will be heard on 8th March.
