Uganda songstress Juliana Kanyomozi has faced rumours about the identity of her baby daddy since giving birth to her second child. Her second child Taj, a boy, was born in 2020.
She spoke about her and her partner being thrilled at the birth of Taj. She did not mention and to date has never revealed who he is.
This has always left space for speculation, with netizens pointing at President Yoweri Museveni's son as the baby daddy.
The son, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is no stranger to Kenyans. He riled the nation with comments about a possible takeover of the city in a series of provocative tweets. He was at the time the leader of the Ugandan Army.
On Sunday, Nov 12, Juliana was featured on the 2nd season of the Tusker Malt Conversations where she displayed displeasure with the rumours.
"I cannot even explain how I felt. I found it even very respectful for me and for the First Son. I had never met him physically in my entire life…I just met him recently in Soroti. So I found it wild.”
"People run with what can bring the likes, the shares, and the attention. They will make up stuff just to trend, but what they don’t realize is that those things affect people in their personal lives.. I have a family; my son has a wonderful father and he reads that stuff,” she added.
She said he prefers a private life. They have been together for 7 years.
“I am in a very happy place right now and I don't feel like sharing it publicly, but they (fans) refuse to understand,” she said.
The birth of Taj was six years after she lost her other son Keron Raphael Kabugo in 2014. Keron died while admitted at Nairobi hospital after a long battle with Asthma.
She feared she would never become a mother again following several unsuccessful attempts.
“In terms of motherhood, I always leave it to God, people used to ask me when will you have another baby, and I used to tell them that I leave it to God. When He decides I can have another baby, then I will have another baby and then it happened,” the singer had told on he YouTube.
