Soon after Ally's death, his brother asked people in the entertainment industry not to play the singer's songs.

“Tunaomba news anchors, radio presenters, ma-dj, tafadhali naomba, nyimbo za Ally msicheze. Tafadhali naomba,”

“Msicheze miziki yake tena. Naomba iwe anayetaka akimkumbuka amtilie dua. Lakini msipige miziki yake, tafadhali. Twaomba,” Ally B's brother continued.

“Nyimbo zake tosha. Muombeeni lakini msipige miziki yake. Mimi kama ndugu yake nimesema,” he concluded.

At the time, President William Ruto led Kenyans in mourning Ally B. The Head of State eulogized Ally B as an artiste who always preached peace.
