Legendary singer Ally B is dead, Ruto mourns him

Legendary coast-based musician Ally B has passed away after a short illness.

The singer who is widely known for the hit songs “Maria’ and ‘Bembea’was declared dead at Makadara Hospital in Mombasa.

Reports indicate that he was rushed to hospital after complaining of feeling unwell.

Close sources report that Ally B died as a result of High Blood pressure.

Fans and celebrities took to social media to mourn the superstar with emotional tributes.

Ally B, real name Ali Khamisi Mwaliguli, had tried his hand at politics and vied for a Member of the County Assembly seat in Junda Ward in Kisauni, Mombasa County under a Jubilee Party ticket in 2017.

President William Ruto led Kenyans in mourning Ally B. The Head of State eulogized Ally B as an artiste who always preached peace.

“I join the music fraternity in mourning the passing of Ally B, a musician who harnessed his talent to foster unity and harmony in our society. 

“Ali Khamisi Mwanguli inscribed his message of peace deep within our hearts, and we will forever carry that meaningful tune. May God provide solace to his family, friends, and devoted fans,” President William Ruto wrote.
