After various questions from the public, the Nigerian government had to conduct an autopsy on the late Ilerioulwa Oladimeji Aloba famously known as Mohbad.
The Marlian Record Label owner Naira Marlian was accused of being associated with the death of the musician after the late musician confessed to being physically harassed.
After various accusations from the public police decided to take action and investigate the matter.
The Public relations officer Adejobi in a statement confirmed to the public they police investigations were underway.
Adejobi said, “The acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has issued a directive to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, instructing him to initiate a swift and comprehensive investigation into the tragic passing of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
“This directive was conveyed during a brief but crucial discussion at the Police Airwing Hangar, Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, September 16, 2023.”
Netizens were ready to support the police in their investigations as they wanted the culprits to be brought to justice in order for Mohbad's soul to rest in peace.
A nurse who apparently administered an injection prior to the musician's demise has been arrested while the investigations are still ongoing.
The police have confirmed the end of the autopsy and stated they will announce the results to the public once they are given to them.
"Mohbad’s corpse has been exhumed today (Thursday), and medical experts have successfully concluded the autopsy on the corpse tonight. Our concern as the police is the outcome of the autopsy, as we’re expecting the result soon,”
Other than wanting the police to capture the culprit responsible for Mohbad's death, they also want a thorough investigation done on his father because of his various remarks concerning the death of his son.
Some fans have suspicions that the father might be involved in his death.
Thousands of Nigerians took to the streets to show their undying love for the late musician by lighting candles and singing his songs.
