Kenyan actress Bridget Shighadi has for the first time confirmed that she is single after breaking up with her baby daddy Nick Mutuma.

The former Maria actress confirmed this in a Q&A session with her fans on her instastories. The confirmation came at a time speculations were doing rounds that the couple was no longer together.

A curious fan asked Are you single to which Shighadi replied Yes. As if that is not enough another fan wanted to know when the said breakup happened.

“Single? Wacha Jokes for how long? The fan asked.

Bridget said “For a minute bro” meaning she parted ways with Nick Mutuma sometime back.

The two had not been spotted together for quite some time and even they celebrated their daughter's birthday separately.

In July last year, Nick Mutuma was no where to be seen at a time Shighadi was celebrating her 31st Birthday.

Mutuma remained quiet, not even sending happy birthday wishes to the mother of his daughter as he did when Shighadi turned 30 last year.

In a previous interview with Massawe Japanni in 2021, Ms Shighadi disclosed Nick was the first person she knew after high school but at first, their relationship was on and off.

She added that since getting their daughter Dua, they have been together for three years (at that particular time). They also lived together.

“Nick is someone I have known for long. He was the first person I knew after high school. It's been on and off but since the baby, we have been together for 3 years.

But before mtoto, it was on and off, and Yes sai tunaishi pamoja” she said.

When are you making it official? Asked Massawe.

Bridget replied; “Its Official now labda harusi t undo imebaki, wazazi wanajuana na pia ashatoa fine ya mtoto but sasa tunangoja ile official Mahari but we are taking our time hatuna haraka”.

The Maria actress also made it clear that they are not in a hurry to get married.
