'Zora' actress Bridget Shigadi better known by her fans as Yola has revealed she never wanted to join acting.

The mother of one says her passion has always been in fashion design saying acting only came as a plan B.

She added that her baby daddy, celebrated actor Nick Mutuma, did not want her to join the entertainment industry.

Speaking during an interview with Massawe Japanni on 'Ilikuwaje' Shighadi says, "He never wanted me to join the acting industry. Maybe because of the exposure in the industry and the fact that at the time I had no interest in acting.

Nick's friend called Tosh Gitonga offered me a role on 'Disconnect' but I turned the role down but he was persistent and that was my breaking point.

A lady at Maisha Magic saw me and referred me to Giffy production which is owned by Lulu and Rashid."

Shighadi previously acted on 'Maria' which is also a show created by Giffy Productions.
