Kenyans recently came together to give donations to help Colonel Mustafa who had shared that he was facing hard times due to his mother's illness.

Speaking to blogger Eve Mungai, the mother narrated how she fell ill and how life has been since then.

She said that she got ill in 2021 but it got worse in 2022 but at that point, she wasn't in Nairobi but was living in Tanzania.

The mother said that at the time she started falling ill was when Mustafa was having financial problems but he would insist that she comes back to Nairobi so that they can check on her and be with her.

"....nilikua naona hali sio nzuri kwa kijana wakati huo sasa nilikuona naona ugumu kuja kukaa na yy.."

In 2022 while visiting hospitals she was told she was ailing from different things every time and she wasn't getting better so she had to go stay with Mustafa.

Plus at that time she was staying with the younger daughter and she couldn't assist when she couldn't walk and needed help.

She says she used to stay home with Mustafa most of the time because the other siblings could go to work and come back in the evening and she needed someone to watch over at home.

But she says she never knew about him working at the mjengo and Mustafa has never hidden any secrets from her, so she didn't understand why he would not tell her.

This is because Mustafa never keeps any secrets from her and he tells her everything. At some point, she even got emotional and couldn't hold back her tears at some point.

And she says when she asked him about it, she had to confirm whether he was just doing it for clout or what the reason was.

She said that Mustafa broke down when narrating his problems to her but she told him not to worry everything will be okay.

And she further stated that after every chemotherapy session, it makes her get worse but at least it's helping.

She said she was grateful for the people's help. After all, at least she can get subsequent sessions because at times she had to stop due to financial issues and it wasn't good for her.

All in all, she sounded very grateful for everything Kenyans have done for them.Read also
