Dancehall singer Vybz Kartel who is incarcerated is suffering from an autoimmune disorder known as Graves’ disease which, coupled with two alleged heart conditions, makes his present situation “life-threatening”.
This is according to an exclusive interview on New York FOX5NY where his lawyer confessed to the singer's condition.
Isat Buchanan, the lawyer representing told newscaster Lisa Evers of FOX5 New York, that the singer on Monday May 29 was seriously ailing.
He had paid a visit to him in prison. Kartel is on lockdown 23 hours a day over an alleged mobile phone confrontation. “Mr. Palmer’s condition is life-threatening,” Buchanan said gravely.
The TV presenter told the lawyer that FOX5NY obtained a sworn medical affidavit from Vybz Kartel’s private doctor, endocrinologist Karen Phillips, which outlined that the Dancehall star has been battling Graves’ disease for seven years and that despite being treated, it has not gone into remission.
