Celebrated female DJ, Pierra Makena has taken to her Instagram page in a long angry rant to express her disappointment in the lack of creativity in the industry and people stealing her concept and passing it as their own.
The 42-year-old who also doubles as an actress and MC shared that the copy-pasting just reflected poorly on the Kenyan industry and left a sour taste in her mouth.
"Enyewe our industry is messed up!' the DJ said in part.
She went on to add her displeasure with what she terms as people's lack of originality.
"Can't people just come up with creative ideas instead of copying? Sasa leo nimeona chill and vibe, the day before I saw another one Park and Chew the day before it was Park and Vibe... Is that how limited we really are?" An angry Pierra ranted on her Insta stories.
The entertainer is known for holding outdoor events dubbed Park and Chill where revellers show up with their cars and relax while enjoying some great music mixes from her.
Pierra airing out her frustrations cited that these people intent on passing her creative idea as they own have gone to the extent of having her arrested all because they assume she can't fight back. She must be referring to her show in Meru that was shut down by the then governor Kiraitu Murunge on the morning off after setting up back in 2021.
"Then you copy-paste kila kitu ingine... and just because you think you are more deep state you get me frustrated and arrested all just because you think a woman can't fight!
Btw FU especially to those DJs who intentionally do it to sabotage my wins..." the second last part of her post which seemed very personal read.
Pierra finished off with a warning letting the people playing with her she wasn't just a pretty face that they could mess around with.
"Watch out..." the last of her lengthy post read.
