Chaos as MP Salasya attacked during Kakamega MCA's burial

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya is yet again in the eye of a storm after a funeral service he attended in Kakamega county turned violent.

The MP who attended the funeral of former Kisa East MCA Stephen Maloba in Khwisero was attacked by people he called area MCAs as he was making his speech.

In a tweet, Salasya, however, bragged that he was able to contain the assault before it materialised.

In the video, shared by the MP, Salasya who is seen wearing a red tracksuit, engages a group of people in a push and pull even as a group of men believed to be his security detail try to shield him.

"Big thanks to our Clerk Samuel Njoroge⁩ you have a good team of gym instructors in our gym facility are amazing," Salasya tweeted.

"They have made me physically fit for the few. Weeks I have been attending, within 5 seconds I was able to dismantle array of MCAs who wanted to attack me."

After the fight, Emuhaya MP Omboko Milemba took the microphone and tried to calm down the situation.

The ANC Secretary General tried talking to the unruly crowd in Luhya asking them to calm down.

Maloba was laid to rest on Saturday, more than a month after he was stabbed to death.

The stabbing incident is said to have happened after a clash ensued between his supporters against those of area MP Christopher Aseka.
