Eric Omondi is popularly known as a comedian but recently, things seem to be shifting since he has been like a human rights defender in that he currently promotes the welfare of others, especially through generous donations and help.

Below is a compilation  of everything that Eric has done with an aim of changing lives;

1. Buying School Uniforms for needy kids

On April 19th, the controversial comedian shared a video of himself buying and gifting school uniforms to four needy school-going children.

"Today we bought School Uniforms for 4 very needy Pupils" he shared on his social media accounts as he challenged the government to take a 50% pay cut for four months just to avoid the suffering of many Kenyans.

2. Helping mothers who were detained at Pumwani

On 16th April, Omondi made headlines after securing the release of five women by paying their bills at Pumwani Maternity Hospital narrating that most of them had pending bills ranging from 2000 to 3000 Kenyan shillings and were held in the facility despite being in good condition.

He continued urging the government to step in by giving the matter a priority.

3. Paying for the release of a woman who was imprisoned at Langata Women's Prison

Eric Omondi went to Lang'ata Women's Prison to pay for Joyce Naserian KSh 10,000  fine in March.  Naserian was sentenced to three months in jail on February 9, after failing to pay the fine, having been arrested for shouting in town.

After paying the fine, the saleslady was released and she thanked the comedian for rescuing her.

After the release, the funny man went ahead to tell Kenyans that he will ensure that Kenyan prisons are decongested since there were a lot of people in there held over petty offenses.

4. Securing the release of 22 men from Nairobi West Men's Prison.

Comedian Eric Omondi two weeks facilitated the release of 22petty offenders in Nairobi who had been jailed for lacking at least ksh 10,000 bail money.

He took to his Instagram account saying that the men were just fending for their families as he gave them two packets of unga each.

5. Bailing out a Boda Boda rider

Eric came to the aid of a Boda Boda rider who was arrested for allegedly trespassing in an area he was not registered in a week ago and was slapped with cash bail of 25,000 or six months in prison.

A video of the man breaking down in court after the ruling went viral and elicited emotions from Kenyans, capturing the attention of Omondi who posted it to his Instagram.

After the video went viral, the self-proclaimed president of Comedy shared on his socials that he had already settled everything.
