Nominated senator Karen Nyamu was among dozens of celebrities who attended Akothee's wedding on Monday.

On that day, the mother of three children congratulated the musician for the big step in life that she took.

"I'm here for Akoth's big day. Congratulations mom! Love is a beautiful thing," Nyamu told Akothee on Instagram.

As usual, netizens camped on the senator's post giving different kinds of comments. Some discussed the words in the post while others went off-topic.

Some netizens used the opportunity to urge the lawyer to imitate Akothee and have a wedding soon as well. "Find yours now and get married," one Instagram user told the firebrand politician.

Karen cooly replied, "I'll do it with yours."

Another Instagram user urged the mother of three to leave her husband and find her own.

"Huyu ndio anabamba," the unflappable lawyer responded in reference to Samidoh.

During Akothee's wedding, the senator was seen singing, dancing and interacting with other guests with great joy.

At one point, she stood on stage, was given a microphone, and entertained the guests with a song.

She sang her baby daddy Samidoh's song featuring Joyce Wamama, 'Wendo wi Cama' (Love is sweet).

Guests enjoyed being entertained by the mother of three while Akothee and her new husband danced with her.

"Thank you, thank you very much," Karen said after the performance.
